Privacy Policy

My UNA World — Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how My UNA World (“My UNA World,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with our software, modules, websites, downloads, documentation, support services, and related products (“Products”).

This Policy is intended to explain what information may be processed, why it may be processed, how it may be protected, and the choices available to users and website administrators.

By using a My UNA World Product, you acknowledge the data practices described in this Privacy Policy and any additional privacy information provided with a specific Product.

1. Important Privacy Principle

Where a Product operates locally on your website or server, information processed by that Product may remain on your own system unless the Product, a feature you enable, or a third-party service you configure requires information to be transmitted elsewhere.

A Product's documentation may provide additional information about data it reads, stores, transmits, or processes.

2. Information We May Collect or Process

Depending on the Product or service you use, My UNA World may collect, receive, access, or process the following categories of information.

3. Information You Provide Directly

You may provide information directly to My UNA World when you:

  • contact us for support;
  • submit a bug report or technical question;
  • purchase or register a Product;
  • request assistance with a Product;
  • send diagnostic information;
  • participate in testing or feedback;
  • communicate with us through a marketplace or support channel.

This information may include your name, email address, website information, product information, support correspondence, and technical details you choose to provide.

4. Website and Technical Information

Certain Products may process technical information necessary to perform their intended function.

This may include information such as:

  • UNA version;
  • PHP version;
  • database version;
  • installed module names and versions;
  • file paths and file integrity information;
  • server configuration information;
  • error or diagnostic messages;
  • module status and compatibility information;
  • system health or configuration information;
  • timestamps and operational status information.

The specific technical information processed depends on the Product and the feature being used.

5. Information Stored on Your Own Website

Some My UNA World Products may store configuration, diagnostic, operational, or product-related information in your own website's database, file system, storage directory, cache, or other local server resources.

Information stored locally on your website remains under the control of the website administrator, subject to the functionality of the Product and the administrator's own hosting and security practices.

Website administrators are responsible for securing their own websites, databases, servers, backups, accounts, and access controls.

6. Member and Website User Information

Certain My UNA World Products may need to process information belonging to users or members of the UNA website on which the Product is installed.

Depending on the Product, this may include:

  • account or profile identifiers;
  • email addresses;
  • account verification status;
  • notification or mail-delivery status;
  • content identifiers;
  • system events or diagnostic records;
  • other information necessary for the Product's stated function.

My UNA World Products should process only the information reasonably necessary for their intended functionality.

The website administrator remains responsible for providing any required privacy notices to the users of that website and for complying with applicable privacy and data-protection laws.

7. Credentials and Sensitive Information

Some Products may allow an administrator to configure credentials needed to communicate with services such as email providers, APIs, or other external systems.

Where a Product stores sensitive credentials, My UNA World may use technical safeguards such as encryption or protected server-side storage where appropriate.

When a Product allows credentials to remain on your own server, responsibility for the security of that server and the credentials stored on it remains with the website administrator.

8. Diagnostic Information

Diagnostic Products may inspect system information to identify problems, compatibility issues, installation errors, database inconsistencies, file modifications, or other technical conditions.

Diagnostic information may include file names, file hashes, module versions, database structure, error messages, log entries, configuration states, and related technical information.

Unless a specific Product or feature states otherwise, diagnostic information generated locally does not automatically mean that the information is transmitted to My UNA World.

9. Information From Support Requests

If you voluntarily send logs, screenshots, database information, diagnostic reports, configuration details, or other files to My UNA World for support, we may process that information to:

  • investigate the reported problem;
  • diagnose software behavior;
  • provide support or repair guidance;
  • improve Product reliability;
  • identify compatibility or security issues.

Before submitting diagnostic material, you should review it and remove passwords, private keys, authentication tokens, personal communications, or other information that is not necessary for the support request.

10. How Information May Be Used

Information may be processed for purposes including:

  • providing and operating Products;
  • providing customer support;
  • diagnosing technical problems;
  • maintaining Product compatibility;
  • improving reliability and security;
  • delivering updates;
  • preventing misuse or fraud;
  • responding to legal obligations;
  • communicating important Product or security information.

11. Product Updates and Compatibility Services

Some Products may communicate with My UNA World or a marketplace to check for updates, product information, compatibility information, licensing information, documentation, or other Product-related data.

Such requests may naturally expose technical network information such as the requesting IP address to the receiving server.

Additional information transmitted by a specific update or product service should be described in the applicable Product documentation where appropriate.

12. Third-Party Services

My UNA World Products may interact with services operated by third parties, including services such as:

  • UNA or UNA Marketplace;
  • Microsoft services;
  • email and hosting providers;
  • external APIs;
  • payment or marketplace providers;
  • other services configured by the website administrator.

Information sent to a third-party service is subject to that service's own terms and privacy practices.

My UNA World does not control the privacy practices, security, availability, or policies of independent third-party providers.

13. Email and Mail-Related Products

Products related to email delivery, mail diagnostics, bounce processing, or notification health may process email addresses, delivery results, transport status, bounce classifications, verification status, or similar technical mail information.

Such information should be processed only as necessary to provide the Product's stated mail-management or diagnostic functionality.

Where a Product offers mailbox inspection functionality, the specific Product documentation should describe whether it accesses headers, bodies, message metadata, or other mailbox information.

14. Cookies and Similar Technologies

My UNA World websites or web-based services may use cookies, session storage, or similar technologies where necessary for:

  • authentication;
  • security;
  • session management;
  • user preferences;
  • website functionality;
  • fraud prevention.

Third-party platforms through which you obtain My UNA World Products may use their own cookies or tracking technologies under their own privacy policies.

15. Analytics and Telemetry

A My UNA World Product may use analytics or telemetry only where such functionality is included or disclosed for that Product.

The presence of a Product on your server should not be interpreted as meaning that all website activity is automatically transmitted to My UNA World.

Where optional telemetry is introduced, the applicable Product documentation should explain the nature and purpose of that telemetry.

16. Sharing of Information

My UNA World does not sell personal information to advertisers.

Information may be disclosed when reasonably necessary to:

  • provide requested services or support;
  • work with service providers acting on our behalf;
  • operate marketplace, hosting, payment, or infrastructure services;
  • comply with applicable law or lawful legal process;
  • protect the security, rights, or property of My UNA World or others;
  • investigate fraud, abuse, or security threats;
  • complete a legitimate business transfer or restructuring.

17. Service Providers

My UNA World may use service providers for functions such as hosting, communications, payments, marketplace distribution, infrastructure, or technical services.

These providers may process information only as necessary to perform the services for which they are engaged and are subject to their own contractual and legal obligations.

18. Data Retention

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or as required by law, contractual obligations, dispute resolution, security needs, or legitimate business requirements.

Information stored locally by a My UNA World Product on your own website may remain until you, the Product, or the website's administrator removes it.

Removing or uninstalling a Product may not automatically remove every backup, log, cache, database record, or archived copy created by your own hosting environment.

19. Data Security

My UNA World uses reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information being handled.

These measures may include encryption, access controls, protected storage, limited credential exposure, secure transport, or other safeguards where technically appropriate.

No method of electronic storage, internet transmission, server operation, or software security can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Website administrators remain responsible for keeping their own servers, UNA installations, operating systems, modules, passwords, accounts, and backups secure.

20. Data Breaches and Security Incidents

If My UNA World becomes aware of a security incident involving information under its control, reasonable steps may be taken to investigate, contain, remediate, and provide legally required notifications where applicable.

Security incidents occurring entirely within a customer's own website, server, hosting account, or third-party provider remain primarily the responsibility of the applicable website administrator or provider.

21. International Data Transfers

Internet-based services and third-party providers may process information in countries other than the country where you reside.

Where legally required, reasonable safeguards may be used for international transfers of personal information.

22. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights regarding personal information, including the right to:

  • request access to personal information;
  • request correction of inaccurate information;
  • request deletion of certain information;
  • request restriction of certain processing;
  • object to certain processing;
  • request data portability where applicable;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • submit a complaint to an appropriate data-protection authority.

These rights may be subject to legal exceptions and verification requirements.

23. Website Administrators as Data Controllers

When a My UNA World Product is installed on a third-party UNA website, the owner or operator of that website generally determines why and how information belonging to that website's members is processed.

In those circumstances, the website administrator may be the relevant data controller or business responsible for responding to privacy requests from its members.

Users of an UNA website should ordinarily direct requests concerning their account or website data to the operator of that website.

24. California and Other U.S. Privacy Rights

Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights under applicable state privacy laws.

Where such laws apply, eligible individuals may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, portability, or certain disclosures involving their personal information.

My UNA World does not sell personal information to advertisers.

25. European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Similar Jurisdictions

Where applicable data-protection law requires a lawful basis for processing, information may be processed on one or more of the following grounds:

  • performance of a contract;
  • compliance with a legal obligation;
  • legitimate interests that are not overridden by individual rights;
  • consent, where consent is required and obtained.

The appropriate lawful basis depends on the nature and context of the processing.

26. Children's Privacy

My UNA World Products are primarily intended for website administrators and business or technical users.

My UNA World does not knowingly seek to collect personal information directly from children through administrator Products.

Website operators using My UNA World Products remain responsible for determining whether their own website permits minors and for complying with applicable laws governing children's information.

27. Marketplace Purchases

If you purchase or download a My UNA World Product through UNA Marketplace or another third-party marketplace, that marketplace may independently collect and process account, transaction, payment, download, or licensing information.

My UNA World does not control information collected independently by the marketplace provider.

Payment-card information is generally handled by the applicable payment processor or marketplace rather than directly by My UNA World, unless expressly stated otherwise.

28. Links to Other Websites

My UNA World websites, documentation, or Products may contain links to third-party websites.

My UNA World is not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of websites operated by third parties.

29. Changes to This Privacy Policy

My UNA World may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in Products, technology, legal requirements, or business practices.

The effective date displayed at the top of this Policy identifies the current version.

Updated versions may be published on the My UNA World website, through the My UNA World Module, within Product documentation, or through an applicable marketplace.

30. Product-Specific Privacy Information

A specific My UNA World Product may have additional privacy, security, credential-storage, or data-processing information relevant to that Product.

Where Product-specific privacy information conflicts with a general description in this Policy, the more specific Product documentation should be considered together with this Privacy Policy.

31. Contact

Questions regarding this Privacy Policy, My UNA World privacy practices, or requests concerning information handled directly by My UNA World should be submitted through the official My UNA World website or the official support/contact method provided with the applicable Product.

Privacy and Security Notice

My UNA World Products may process website information in order to perform their intended technical functions, but website administrators remain responsible for the privacy, security, backups, and lawful operation of their own UNA websites.

Review the documentation for each Product before enabling features that connect to external services or process member information.

Never send passwords, access tokens, refresh tokens, private keys, or other sensitive credentials through unsecured support channels.
